DEFENDING SEN TRIBUNAL APPEALS FOR LOCAL AUTHORITIES
Local authorities are currently losing 99% of appeals which are heard by the SEN Tribunal. The purpose of this seminar is to explore the reasons why appeals are “lost” and what improvements can be made to support the response to appeals.

This seminar is led by Solicitor-Advocate, Mark Small. Mark has represented parents, carers, young people and local authorities in a range of proceedings in both the First Tier Tribunal and the Upper Tier Tribunal. Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first service basis. Knowledge of the SEN Tribunal process is desirable but not essential and is designed for SEN Officers, Solicitors and practitioners working in the field. The seminar is accredited for 7 CPD points and a certificate of participation is awarded at the conclusion of the training. Refreshments, pastries and a buffet lunch are provided for all delegates.
